Welcome to the Journal
Sometimes faith is loud. Sometimes it’s a whisper in the dark. This space was created for both.
Here, I share what I’m learning in the Word, in my walk with Jesus, and in the everyday intersections of faith, culture, leadership, and calling. Some entries are deep dives into Scripture. Others are heart spills from the frontlines of ministry, and others are just realizations from the messy middle. I don’t have all the answers—but I do have questions, stories, and a deep desire to follow Jesus well.
My prayer is that these words help you know God more deeply, wrestle through the hard questions honestly, and find hope that anchors you in truth.
Pressing Pause to Listen More Closely
If you have been checking in, waiting for the next podcast episode, browsing the site, or wondering where I have been, I want to share something tender, weighty, and holy with you. This past weekend, we announced to our church family that we are stepping away as lead...
When Sacrifice Becomes Disobedience
Leviticus 17:1-6 is one of those passages that most of us breeze past. Sacrificing goats in fields? Cool, Old Testament Israel, do your thing. But tucked in this ancient text is a principle I think we desperately need today. God told Israel, “If anyone kills an ox,...

Leviticus 13 [Part 3/4]
WHEN THE MASK COMES OFF I’m still knee-deep in Leviticus 13 — and this next part hit me right in the gut. Once a person was diagnosed with leprosy, they had to tear their clothes, leave their hair messy, cover their upper lip (basically mask up) and shout, “Unclean!...
One Verse At A Time
I'M STARTING SOMETHING NEW I don’t know if this happens to you in your Bible reading journey, but there are moments where one verse will stop me in my tracks. And this morning was no different. God, in His goodness, caused my heart to wonder just a bit more than usual...
Leviticus 13 [Part 2/4]
WHEN THE WAITING ROOM FEELS LIKE A PRISON I’ve been sitting with the next piece of Leviticus 13 and — honestly? It’s still weird. After the priest inspects the suspicious spot, they often put the person in isolation for seven days. And sometimes another seven. (Hello,...
