About Chari
Hi! My name is Chari Orozco (pronounced Cha-dee).
It’s a nickname. Not the one my mom gave me—but the one just about everyone else uses.
More than anything, I love opening God’s Word with people.
Whether I’m teaching on a Sunday morning, recording an episode of Sheep Thrills, writing a book, or sitting across the table with a cup of coffee, my heart is the same: to help people follow Jesus with greater clarity, confidence, and joy.
I don’t have all the answers, but I’ve learned that God often meets us in the ordinary places; in wilderness seasons, unanswered questions, messy emotions, and unexpected storms. Those have become the conversations I return to again and again because they’re the places where He’s faithfully met me.
Today, I have the privilege of serving as the Executive Pastor of Programming at Life Church, where I help shape weekend experiences, lead creative teams, and steward the church’s programming. I also own a creative media company that partners with churches and organizations to tell meaningful stories because I believe creativity is one of the ways we reflect the heart of our Creator. Along the way, I get to write, teach, and host conversations that all point to the same goal: helping people follow Jesus more faithfully.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me drinking way too much coffee, wandering through a museum with my husband, or hanging out with our dog, Ollie.
But if you remember one thing about me, I hope it’s this:
The only thing that matters to me is that Jesus is glorified by whatever I put my hand to.
Everything else is simply an opportunity to point people to Him.
